Rebecca McDaniel is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 26 years of experience in the areas of family practice, urgent care, critical care, and geriatrics. She has additional board certifications in Medical Surgical Nursing (RN-BC) and Critical Care (CCRN). She is also certified with the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (DOT CME). Rebecca received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Gordon College in 1995, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Medical College of Georgia in 2006, and Masters in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University in 2010. She has many years of critical care nursing experience working in ICU/CCU taking care of critical care and post open heart patients. She has 7 years of management experience as the Director of Intensive Care Unit. She decided to further her interests in becoming a healthcare provider to provide and deliver the best quality care to her patients by obtaining her certification as a nurse practitioner. In 2014, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgia Regents University. She has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner over the last 6 years in the community that she loves to serve. Her faith, family, and friends are very important to her. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She has served this community for many years in a variety of roles.
Jacqueline Lee Jester is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of experience in family practice, urgent care, emergency care, intensive care, and geriatric skilled care. Jacqueline received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2011. In 2015, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University. She has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the Family Medical Center since April 2016.
Jacqueline believes in the holistic approach to healthcare, which focuses on treating and healing the whole person. Jacqueline knows maintaining optimal health is by incorporating physical activity, eating a healthy diet, and having knowledge of your health or chronic condition(s) are the mainstays of maintaining optimum health. Her family resides in Pike County and she enjoys spending time with family and weight- training.
Dr. Hess is a licensed and board certified physician by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a graduate of Clemson University, attended medical school at The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson, SC. Dr. Hess practices Urgent Care and Family Medicine in addition to his aesthetics practice with New You Med Spa. He is a registered Medical Review Officer, DOT Examiner, and a Certified Examiner of Working Commercial Divers.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hess is a competitive Ironman triathlete who also enjoys the outdoors and traveling with his family. After spending several years completing his training and honing his skills, Dr. Hess is excited to return home and provide high quality medical and aesthetic care to our community.
Kholi Smith Whelan is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kholi was born and raised here in Griffin, GA where she attended Griffin High School. She studied Biology at the University of Georgia, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Kennesaw State University. As a registered nurse, she worked in the field of cardiology at Northside Hospital, where she found a love for educating her patients and their families on heart healthy living, blood pressure management, and what life looks like after heart attacks and stroke. She taught heart school education to newly diagnosed heart failure and coronary artery disease patients.
After years in that practice, she knew it would suit her better to have patients of her own so she pursued higher education. She graduated with her Master’s in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. She is now living back in Griffin serving people in her community. She loves being back in her hometown where she can spend her time with her husband, family, and friends.
Tony Rives, PA-C has been with Family Medical Center for over ten years after returning to Georgia with his family in 2007. He is a graduate from the Medical School of Georgia’s Physician Assistant Program. He’s been a part of medical care since his time spent in the U.S. Army, starting in 1989. He has worked in various fields including neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and family practice.
He is a proud husband of 22 years, and the father of two lovely girls, Tori and Abby. Tori is a freshman at UNG, and Abby is a freshman in high school. They have lived in Henry County since their move to Georgia. They have a very close family and enjoy traveling, as well as serving their church together.
Jonniece Priester is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in family practice, urgent care and emergency care. She graduated from Upson-Lee High School and shortly after went into the United States Navy where she served 6 years as a dental technician. In 2010, Mrs. Priester obtained her Associates Degree in nursing from Gordon College. As a registered nurse, she worked for Upson Regional Medical Center as a special care nurse and emergency room nurse. In 2014, Ms. Priester pursued a Bachelor of Nursing from the now, Gordon State College. After 8 years of practice, she continued her education and obtained her Master’s in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017. Her areas of interest for patient care are women’s health, gastroenterology and dermatology. She is married with two children and her family is her motivation. Ms. Priester enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, dining out, and watching crime series.
Amy Head is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of experience in family practice, urgent care, emergency care and geriatric rehabilitation services. Amy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Medical College of Georgia in 2002. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and graduated Cum Laude in 2011 from the Medical College of Georgia, and has been practicing in the Griffin area since 2002.
Amy is interested in both the prevention of illness and pursuit of wellness. Her areas of interest are Type II Diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, Amy knows the importance of balancing family and work and its impact on health. She believes education and awareness are the keys to achieve health and wellness. Her family resides in Peachtree City and she enjoys hiking and whitewater rafting with her husband and two teenage boys.
Paulette Cloud is a board-certified Family NP with 26 plus years of experience in family practice, pediatrics, urgent and emergency care and over 20 years of experience in aesthetics. She has experience in medical-surgical and the operating room nurse. Ms. Cloud obtained a Associates of Science in Nursing from Pima College, her BSN from the University of Tampa as a commissioned Officer in US Army. As a Captain in US Army, she obtained her MSN in Family Practice as FNP from University of South Florida. She is a member of American College of NP and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Upon receiving her advanced degree as a FNP, she served and practiced in US Army in Fort Bragg, NC. After serving 5 years, she returned to Florida and worked in Family Practice. She then moved to Georgia where she has worked in Family practice and the Pediatric Emergency department. She then accepted an opportunity to work at Family Medical Center in Griffin and Thomaston and has been with FMC for over 12 years.
Paulette believes that establishing a trusting provider-patient relationship is a must. She believes in a multidisciplinary approach to a patient’s health is essential to achieve overall holistic healing of mind, body and spirit. Paulette resides in Jackson, GA and enjoys time spent with her family.
